The University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences comprises one of the largest and most diverse programs dedicated to aquatic and fisheries science in the United States.

For over 100-years, we have educated students who have become leaders and innovators in the fields of freshwater and marine science. Students learn from our internationally renowned faculty, whose breadth of expertise includes marine and freshwater ecology, habitat restoration, quantitative fishery management, pathology, genetics, and natural resource economics. Our school investigates how physical, biological, and societal processes impact emerging global issues in aquatic ecology, conservation, and management.
