Support for student-led diversity meetings

The College has formalized its support for student-led, diversity-oriented meetings and I would love your help getting the word out to your students.  Similar to the Student Travel and Meeting Fund, students (individually or as an organization) can apply for up to $1500 in support of meetings attended by CoEnv students where the central goals of the meeting include linking science to policy or real-world application, and advancing diversity and inclusion within the College, the University and relevant STEM fields.

Examples include:

  • Support for new student organizations within the College with a diversity, inclusion or equity focus
  • Student-organized trainings, workshops, lectures with a diversity, inclusion or equity focus
  • Events for students to present environmental justice-related research
  • Student-led discussions of race, equity and inclusion

A full description can be found here: https://environment.uw.edu/students/student-resources/scholarships-funding/support-for-diversity-oriented-meetings/.  The Spring Quarter application deadline is March 25.

Thanks,

Jill
