Jennilyn and I are looking for someone to help us do some research for my book and film project that we are working on. I was wondering if you had a grad student that would be interested in this type of work.
The overall theme of the book and documentary is the disconnect between the seafood industry and the consumer.
The pay rate would be $20/ Hr plus we would give them credits on book and doc. This will be flexible hours and part time for the next 6 months. I can see this going at least 80- 100 hrs.
The topics may include, but not limited to the following:
- Nutritional value of various types of fish
- Life cycle/ biology
- Mangement practices
- Seafood Trade, national and international
- Fresh vs frozen
- On board handling practices
- History of fishing and the seafood industry
- Farmed Fish
- Food Labeling
- Eco certification
