College Writing Tips from the CLUE Writing Center

A few members from the CLUE Writing Center team will help you get a head start on your UW writing classes. This session will be a fun, interactive look at the key differences between high school or community college writing and university writing, as well as give you an opportunity to meet some of the CLUE tutors and discover what resources the CLUE Writing Center, as well as other academic resource centers on campus, have to offer. This information will be especially useful for those about to take English 111/121/131 or any other composition or “W” course.

CLUE & Peer Adviser Trivia Night

Don’t have quite enough homework after the first day of class to come to CLUE for the tutors? Don’t have questions to ask an adviser yet? Well, why not come for food, games, and great prizes at Trivia Night instead? Its students versus tutors and peer advisers in the seventh annual CLUE & Peer Adviser Trivia Night! Study up on current events, pop culture, and random useless information and then bring a team of friends or come alone and we will assign you to a team for the competition. Sign-ups for the competition start at 6:30pm and the competition begins at 7:00pm. Great prizes for first, second, and third place! In collaboration with Undergraduate Academic Affairs Advising, Academic Support Programs and Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment.
