Become a mentor for UW’s Making Connections program!

My name is Kasey Walker and I am the Mentor Coordinator for the Making Connections Program at the Women’s Center. Making Connections is a college-readiness program that serves high-school students from underrepresented backgrounds and are interested in STEM fields. We offer several academic services, including mentoring, tutoring, and career workshops.

Our program is in need of mentors for our high-school students! As a mentor, you would be paired with one student and would support them on their journey to college. We ask that you attend mentor/mentee social events and submit monthly reports. If you or anyone you know might be interested, we would love to have you! To follow up, we can be reached at mcmentor.
