Washington Sea Grant
Science Communications Fellowship
Spring – Summer 2016
Washington Sea Grant will offer a paid, two-quarter (24 weeks) communications fellowship that enables students to build portfolios and gain recognition as science writers and communicators.
Fellows are given opportunities to share their marine knowledge with WSG’s diverse audiences and may write features for Sea Star newsletter, work with the media and manage media lists, write for social media or develop video projects to connect people with marine science that matters.
Graduate and upper-level undergraduate students in any field from Washington universities and colleges may apply. Applicants must demonstrate strong writing skills, a good general grounding in the sciences, and a special interest in marine science, education or policy.
Fellowship dates: April 18 – September 15, 2016
