American Fisheries Society British Columbia Student Subunit logo design contest

Are you creative, artistic, and passionate about aquatic biology?

The recently formed British Columbia Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society (AFS) needs a logo! We’re having a design contest, and challenging interested students across BC to come up with a logo for the subunit.

The winning logo will be chosen by the subunit’s executive committee, and the winning designer will receive one year paid membership to AFS. Membership in AFS and the BC Student subunit has many benefits, including home delivery of the journal Fisheries, full online access to all AFS journals, eligibility for AFS awards and funding, great networking opportunities, and regular information on new job postings and grad school opportunities.

Please submit your logo design by Monday, January 14 to bcstudentafs. The winning logo will be chosen and announced by January 21. We are looking for something relatively simple and clean. You can incorporate text into the logo if you wish (i.e., BC AFS Students) but it isn’t required. Other than that, the only guideline we have is that it should be emblematic of British Columbia and/or its fish. Good luck, have fun, and please forward this along to anyone you think might be interested.
