Bonderman Fellowships: $20K to travel going once, going twice…

I’m writing to request your help in reminding students about the upcoming Bonderman Fellowship application deadline. We would greatly appreciate your help in notifying both graduate and undergraduate students that that applications for the 2014 Bonderman Travel Fellowship are due in less than a week, on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 12 noon (PST)!

Please also note that the eligibility requirements for undergraduate students have been revised for 2014 and all eligibility criteria are listed below:

The Bonderman Travel Fellowships offer University of Washington graduate/professional and undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in independent exploration and travel abroad. 

Fulbright UK Summer Institutes 2014 applications now open, due Feb. 27 or March 6

Please share the information below with freshmen and sophomore students in all fields who may be interested in a fully-funded opportunity to study in the UK this summer.
The US-UK Fulbright Commission has opened applications for the UK Summer Institute Award Programmes for US Citizens!
Each Programme varies in duration, from three to six weeks, and offers students a fantastic opportunity for first and second year American university students to be immersed in the study of British academia and culture. 

Gilman Scholarship info session – study abroad scholarship

Global Opportunities is offering an information session on the Gilman Scholarship on Thursday, February 20 from 2:30 – 3:20pm in MGH171 – The Center for Experiential Learning & Diversity.
The Gilman Scholarship provides study abroad scholarships for US citizen, Pell Grant-eligible undergraduates. The deadline for students studying abroad this summer or fall is Tuesday, March 4. Students studying abroad next winter or spring will apply in early October.

Registration is now open to the Oceanography summer study abroad program in Micronesia!Apply online at:
This program will take place in Kosrae, Micronesia, from August 16-September 8, 2014. The class is focused on coastal ecosystems in a changing climate, and will provide students with first hand field experience studying coral reefs, mangrove forests, estuaries, sea grass and the ways that human activities are affecting those ecosystems. 

2014 Bonderman Travel Fellowship

The Bonderman Travel Fellowship application is now available for the 2014 cycle. This extraordinary opportunity for travel, discovery, and challenge is made possible by the generous donation of Mr. David Bonderman. The criteria for application eligibility is outlined below.
Please note that the eligibility requirements for undergraduate students have been revised for 2014. We are instituting these changes on a trial basis and will review and make changes as needed annually in response to the donor’s recommendations. 

Fulbright UK Summer Institutes 2014 applications now open!

Please share the information below with freshmen and sophomore students in all fields who may be interested in a fully-funded opportunity to study in the UK next summer. Attached are a general information flyer and a reference sheet for advisors.
Minimum eligibility requirements:
· be a US citizen (resident anywhere except the UK) and possess a US passport;
· be at least 18 years old;
· have a high level of academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (confirmed by academic marks, awards and references);
· have completed no more than two years of university study; i.e.

NSF East Asia & Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) Fellowship Program for U.S. Graduate Students in Science & Engineering

Dear Colleagues:
The National Science Foundation International Science & Engineering section would like to make you aware of an opportunity for U.S. graduate students to participate in research experiences in summer 2014 through the East Asia & Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) program. EAPSI supports 200-205 graduate students each year to do research in the lab of their choice in any of seven locations: Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore or Taiwan.
