Sea Mar Farm Worker ScholarshipSea Mar is awarding $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students of migrant* or seasonal farm worker families.** Students interested in attending a university, community college, or technical school are eligible to apply. Scholarship funds can be used for college-related expenses such as tuition, books, housing, food, etc.
WSOS Application Opens January 7
We are pleased to announce that the online application for the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship will be available Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Click here to access the page that will link to the application.The scholarship helps low- and middle-income Washington State residents earn first bachelor’s degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and health care. The application period is Jan.

The Tillman Military Scholars program provides scholarships for undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degree students in all fields who are active or veteran servicemembers, or spouses of active or veteran servicemembers, from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. UW is now a partner university with this scholarship program, providing enhanced opportunities for our applicants and selected scholars.

Freshman Scholarship 101: Getting Started in the Search for Scholarships
Specifically designed for freshmen and sophomores, this introductory workshop provides students with information to begin the scholarship search and to develop a competitive edge for merit-based scholarships.
The Mary Gates Endowment for Students is currently accepting scholarship applications. Mary Gates scholarships provide $4,000 ($2,000 per quarter for two quarters) for students to pursue leadership or research projects. These scholarships benefit students in the current academic year, and are open to all UW undergraduate students regardless of class year, major or residency status. Deadlines are coming up soon, so begin the application process and attend an information session and application workshop.
UW Environmental Innovation Challenge – Prototype Funding
Due Sunday, Dec 16:
We have $25,000 available for prototype funding which has been provided by the UW College of Engineering. You can use this funding for purchasing materials to build your prototype, renting equipment, purchasing safety equipment, and hiring short-term work beyond your team’s capacity. We prefer to see requests between $500 and $1,500 but will consider both smaller and larger amounts.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA, December 10, 2012 – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation is now accepting submissions for two of its renowned student programs: the 34th College Television Awards competition and the Mister Rogers Memorial Scholarship, which honors the legacy of Fred Rogers (“Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood”).
2013-14 FRITZ AND BOEING GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH OR STUDY
APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 11, 2013 at 12 noon (PST)
For 2013-2014 the Graduate School will award Chester Fritz and Boeing International one-quarter fellowships to support international study or research abroadby UW graduate students. These grants are available to fund research and/or study periods of three months, corresponding to regular UW quarter dates.
The Morris and Stewart Udall Foundation expects to award 50 scholarships of up to $5000 and 50 honorable mentions to sophomore and junior level college students committed to careers related to the environment, tribal public policy, or Native American health care.
