Our current Project Leader, Dr. Brittany Huntington, will be leaving us in November to pursue an exciting new position in Hawaii. The Department of Biological Sciences at Dartmouth College seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Ecosystem Ecology. We seek highly qualified candidates who investigate ecosystem processes to address broadly relevant conceptual issues in ecology. The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) is hiring a Data Management Specialist 2 to assist the Fisheries Monitoring and Analysis Division (FMA) with data management. The job duties of this position will be to assess, track, and ensure that data collected by fisheries observers meet data quality standards. This position is based out of FMA’s Seattle office.

The Centre for Fisheries Ecosystems Research (CFER) at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University focuses on fisheries science and the marine ecosystems of Newfoundland and Labrador. CFER is looking for exceptional researchers to develop research programs in quantitative fisheries science that compliments and extends existing CFER capabilities and has industry relevance. Duties will include the development and implementation of a multiyear research program focusing on spatial state-space stock assessment models and management strategy evaluation for commercial North Atlantic species.

Youth Engagement Mentor I (Temporary)
Seattle Aquarium seeks two part time, temporary youth engagement mentors to join the volunteer engagement team. These positions work within the youth engagement team to support the efforts of 130–160 high-school-age youth serving in the Youth Ocean Advocates volunteer program. Youth engagement mentors educate youth on marine science topics and interpretation, support and mentor youth in their volunteer roles, and ensure excellent experiences for both youth volunteers and Aquarium visitors.
