UW Pipeline: Participate in Science Alternative Spring Break

We want to make sure UW students know about the new Science Exploration Alternative Spring Break programs in the Yakama Nation. We want to build a team diverse in strengths and experiences, and always seek representational leadership. Students of all majors are encouraged to apply. Both programs are for-credit opportunities.

The Writing Minor is designed to provide students with concentrated study of and practice in writing, language, and rhetoric. The Minor is most appropriate for students entering writing-intensive careers such as journalism, business, law, publishing, editing, education, and public relations or for students interested in enhancing their writing, analytic and communication skills.

The theory and practice of linking knowledge with action to address modern environmental challenges.

Meeting modern environmental challenges requires new perspectives, approaches, collaborations, and knowledge – and new ways of linking scholarship with society.

This one-credit, reading and discussion-based seminar will explore the theory and practice of linking knowledge with action in support of progress on critical environmental challenges.

Tutor at an elementary, middle or high school in Seattle during Winter Quarter with the UW Pipeline Project!
The UW Pipeline Project recruits, trains and places UW students as volunteer tutors in Seattle schools and community organizations. We are recruiting tutors for Spring quarter to work with about 40 different schools, and would love to have you!
Volunteer during Winter Quarter:
We’ll help you get set up tutoring in a K-12 classroom or community organization.

Online courses for winter quarter:
Students can take some of the most popular online credit classes as part of their normal tuition load and pay an online fee of $120 per class. These select online courses are offered in a group-start format, which means students can interact with their classmates and complete the course during the quarter.
