Are you currently a junior, senior, graduate or professional student or a recent bachelor’s, master’s or JD graduate looking for a fully-funded abroad experience during the 2015-16 academic year? Consider the Fulbright U.S. Student Program (http://us.fulbrightonline.org/home.html). This program is designed to give students, artists, and other professionals opportunities to pursue research, graduate study or English teaching experience in over 155 nations worldwide. 

2014 UWAA Multicultural Alumni Partnership Scholarship – DEADLINE Friday 5/30

The University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA) Multicultural Alumni Partnership (MAP) awards scholarships to deserving University of Washington students who need financial assistance to assist with their progress toward a degree at the UW. Funding for these scholarships comes from contribution from UW alumni and friends as well as proceeds from the Bridging the Gap Breakfast held annually on Homecoming Saturday.

FUNDED MARINE, OCEANOGRAPHIC AND ATMOSPHERIC UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS

The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), for the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program, to support eight internships for undergraduate student research at BIOS during fall 2014.
An REU internship at BIOS is a great way to gain the experience necessary to embark on graduate studies or careers in the marine and atmospheric sciences.

Washington Research Foundation Fellowships
Washington Research Foundation Fellowships (WRFF) for advanced undergraduates support promising students who work on creative and sophisticated science and engineering research projects under the guidance of UW faculty. WRFFs target undergraduates who have already participated in undergraduate research for at least three quarters and who are working beyond an introductory level in a project that requires creativity and advanced knowledge.

2014 Trail Blazers Scholarship

THE TRAIL BLAZERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Offered in 2014 in honor of Vic Cohrs and Jamie VanEtten
Background:
The Trail Blazers is a volunteer organization that contributes its time, energy and knowledge toward helping the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Members participate in a variety of studies, conservation and wilderness protection activities, camp cleanups, stream restoration and trail maintenance, but the fish stocking and surveying activities have given the Trail Blazers their focus that has endured since 1933.

The School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences (SAFS) is pleased to announce the availability of undergraduate scholarships. Available scholarships may be used for tuition, books, lab fees, or other academic expenses. Scholarships will be awarded for disbursement beginning in Autumn Quarter 2014 unless requested otherwise. Students receiving financial aid should contact the UW Financial Aid Office regarding how winning a scholarship might affect their award.
