Job: Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Job

I was wondering if you could share a job opportunity with the SAFS community.
The position is in in my lab fisheries research lab with Oregon Dept of Fish & Wildlife in Newport Oregon. The person will assist with a project to develop a novel nearshore fishery-independent survey to improve assessment and sustainable management of nearshore rocky reef fish stocks off of Oregon. 

Jobs: Postdoc & PhD Student Openings – Stream Fish Ecology – University of Alaska Fairbanks/AKCFWRU

Colleagues – I anticipate funds to support (one) Postdoctoral Scientist and (one) PhD Assistantship to begin late Spring or early Summer 2018. These positions are part of a larger project with goals to develop a better understanding of the effects of fire and climate change on boreal aquatic ecosystem dynamics. Job opportunity: Biological Science Technician

The following position is being offered at the Western Fisheries Research Center-Seattle, WA.
As a Biological Science Technician (Microbiology) in the Fish Health Section of the Western Fisheries Research Center, some of your specific duties will include:

Designs and completes laboratory experiments including the expression of recombinant proteins and characterizing immunological tools for freshwater fish.
Test fish immune responses by quantitative RTPCR and flow cytometric analyses.

Field technician position, freshwater ecology

Field Technicians in Freshwater Fish Ecology – University of Washington (Apr – Aug 2017)
We are looking for a field technician to join the Freshwater Ecology and Conservation Laboratory (Dr. Julian Olden, University of Washington) to assist with a field project in Arizona and local lab and field work in Washington. The Arizona project is an investigation of food web ecology and interactions of native and non-native fishes in dryland streams of the Lower Colorado River basin.
