The application for the 19th Annual UW Undergraduate Research Symposium is now open! The Symposium will be held on May 20, 2016 in Mary Gates Hall.
The Symposium is a celebration of undergraduate accomplishments in research, scholarship, and creative expression in all academic disciplines. Students may present their research either in a poster session or an oral presentation session.

Spend a quarter studying in residence at the UW’s marine field station at Friday Harbor Labs (FHL). Undergraduates can study at FHL in spring, summer or autumn quarters, and the deadline for spring/summer applications is February 1.

This annual symposium showcases the research of the UW School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences’ Alaska Salmon Program undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and visiting scientists. Our program focuses on all aspects of the ecology of Pacific salmon in the North Pacific, Bering Sea, and watersheds of Southwest Alaska.

Thursday, Oct. 29, is the Sustainability Careers Meet & Greet at Odegaard Library ALC 136, 3:30 p.m. Representatives from commercial, non-profit and government organizations will be on hand to talk about the career path they took and opportunities in the field. The event will be followed by a poster session for Campus Sustainability Fund and Green Seed Fund projects.
