If you believe that one person experiencing acts of violence is too many, then Green Dot will give you the skills to do something about it.
The WAC is looking for a Senator! As Senator, you attend Senate on Tuesdays from 5-7 in Paccar 192 and advocate and vote on behalf of WAC!

The UW Society for Ecological Restoration is having a work party on Friday, January 17th, 10am – 2pm. We will be meeting across from McCarty Hall dorms, pulling invasive plants and planting natives. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty, and dress for the weather. We will provide snacks and good company. We hope to see you there!
What makes a sustainable community? How can we instill in younger generations a sense of hope and optimism in a finite world? We will be exploring these questions and more in EDUC 401K: Education for Sustainability, an interactive seminar through the Pipeline Project.
Through participation in a hands-on project in a Seattle K-12 school, students will explore K-12 sustainability education. We will focus on the benefits of experiential, place-based learning for a mindset geared toward future consciousness.
SARVA’s Volunteer Application for Winter quarter training is open until December 2nd! If you are interested in learning more about sexual assault and relationship violence, equip yourself to engage in important conversations and activism in your communities, and hear from professionals in the field, then you should apply!
Trainings will cover topics including consent and sexual assault, anti-oppressive frameworks, alcohol, legal issues, relationship violence, supporting survivors, and community resources.

The University of Washington Genomics Outreach for Minorities (UW GenOM) Project is an outreach program that targets underrepresented and underserved students interested in life sciences and scientific research. We have several programs that involve undergraduate research as well as one program, ALVA, for incoming freshmen to the University of Washington-Seattle.
I know that you work with high school students and teachers around the state, and I am hoping that you will pass this information on to any high school seniors you may work with thatare interested in genetics and scientific research.

My name is Kasey Walker and I am the Mentor Coordinator for the Making Connections Program at the Women’s Center. Making Connections is a college-readiness program that serves high-school students from underrepresented backgrounds and are interested in STEM fields. We offer several academic services, including mentoring, tutoring, and career workshops.
Our program is in need of mentors for our high-school students!
